Start off the summer right at the 38th Annual Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras Festival. Did you know that mushrooms are the predominant local crop in the area? Enjoy some fresh and locally grown gourmet mushroom deliciousness. There will also be booths, strolling musicians, street performers, and tons of booths. This free, family friendly event is great for all ages. Kids will dig the Munchkinland section with rides, games and continuous entertainment. All this mushroom fun is for a good cause. The festival raises funds for educational scholarships, which are granted annually and provides an opportunity for many local non-profit organizations, clubs and schools. If mushrooms are not your thing, check out the Baconland Festival in San Jose on May 28.
