Explore Japantown’s delicious dining
October 6, 2016
Did you know that there are only 3 remaining Japantowns in California? One is in San Francisco, one in Los Angeles, and luckily for us, one in San Jose. It’s a great place to walk around and enjoy a nice meal that’s authentic and delicious. Grab some spicy stirfry ramen at popular Kumako. If you love sushi, check out Kazoo. They have a wide variety of vegetarian items plus specialty rolls, nigiris, appetizers and desserts. Making reservations is recommended. Kubota is a beautiful Japanese restaurant and full sushi bar in a modern setting that’s welcoming and stylish. Santo Market is a full service grocery that features Asian foods: Japanese, Chinese, and Hawaiian. They also have a gourmet coffee bar with specialty drinks and a deli with delicious lunch selections. Japantown is bounded by First Street to the west, 8th Street to the east, Empire Street to the south and Taylor Street to the north.
